Personalisation is the ability for relevant information to be presented to users. The information a user receives will depend on their profile. For example, if you are a senior technical manager in the South East and have an interest in specific topics you may receive news, articles, events and vacancies that are either role, region or topic specific or a combination of all of these. In other words you only get information that you want! We enable personalisation in two very powerful ways:

Content Managed Personalised Welcome Page

• Articles are posted on your welcome page determined by your profile. You see these each time you log in
• Articles, titles and a short description are shown on your welcome page. Clicking on the title of an article presents the full text of the article
• Useful Links on your welcome page enable quick access to other web sites. When clicked these open in separate browser windows
• Web based administration to manage the presentation, duration and target audience of articles and useful links

Webcasting

• Webcasting allows you as a user to receive targeted emails of interest determined by your profile
• Webcasting allows you as an administrator to send a targeted email to a sub-section of the entire user base determined by profile (e.g. role, location or interest)
